The refereeing at this World Cup is an absolute joke. I know I got the Dutch match wrong [I thought a draw] but the officials definitely robbed me of the half/full Mexico results. The cheating is getting to me as well, the penalty for Spain was atrocious, bad refereeing and cheating players could ruin this great tournament and it has certainly started on a bad note. Spain are obviously struggling after that drubbing, Brazil will not win it in my opinion. I am more convinced than ever that Argentina can do it even at this early stage. We wait.

Top class racing and I am having a right go with several bets. Here they are and surely we will make a profit.

Chester 4 15 : Our German purchase TAHIRA has a very good chance in this despite her preference for a more galloping track. She ran a lovely race on her UK debut and minimal improvement will see her win this if she can angle out for a sustained late run. Her German defeat of Erlkonig on her last start in her native country only serves to underline her credentials. 2 pts win at 7/1 with PP.

Chester 4 50 : MISSED CALL needed her first run for her new trainer this year [much like last season] and has been crying out for this step up in trip. She should outclass this mob. 2 pts win at 9/4 [from a crazy 7/2] with PP which is disappearing fast.

York 2 05 : SAPTAPADI is gradually coming back to form after a treacherous stint in Australia and he is also very well handicapped for a race of this nature. I really fancy him here and the booking of Katie Walsh reinforces the whole deal, she should deliver him late. 1 pt win at 5/1 PP.

York 2 40 : TARIKHI could love this unusual trip of 1 mile 208 yards and looks progressive in a field of exosed types. Being well punted already so 1 pt win at 5/1 PP.

York 3 50. We have loved DANZENO from day 1 and like others we tried to buy him but fair play to connections for holding on and I expect them to be rewarded with this big prize. This is on serious sprinter. Hugely competitive race as one would expect but I think he is worth 2 pts win at 4/1 pp.

Sandown 5 15 : IVANHOE has a leading chance here, should get a fast pace to aim at or even help make it this time. On the improve and 6/1 with PP is good. 1 pt win at that.

Musselburgh 3 00 : All the rain today in Scotland has made me half my bet on ENCHANTED GARDEN as he would have loved it faster but this course dries out quickly so maybe I am being too cautious. This horse is very well handicapped. 1 pt win at 9/2 with PP.

Just watching Chile v Australia. The Faroe Islands have a better defence than Chile.
