Those of you that have been consistent readers of this piece over the past two and a half years or so will be a little disappointed over the infrequent nature of the posts in the last six months. I hope to improve the regularity of
articles again and to boost profits which we have become accustomed to. The site has been in profit since day one and will continue to do so, of that I can assure you , no matter how poor a day we will have from time to time.

LOCHNAGAR, one of our purchases in Germany ran another race brimful of promise at Wincanton on Thursday. He was still incredibly green at his hurdles and it is just a matter of time before he waltzes home. I am going to make a prediction. LOCHNAGAR will be running off a minimum of 140 in a year’s time. Just follow him blind and especially when he is stepped up in trip, he is crying out for it. I love this horse as much as one of our more famous buys, IRVING, who of course is favourite for the Supreme on Tuesday at Cheltenham. The nerves are starting to kick in now I have to admit.

Now let us try and make some betting money for the festival.

Wolverhampton 2 20 : KENNY POWERS can go well fresh and is ideally berthed to attack from just off the pace for a combination that are deadly on the all weather. Big run expected. 1 pt win at 7/1 Bet Victor.

Wolverhampton 2 55 : WHISPERING WARRIOR has been set up for this and the plan can come off despite the atrocious surface. He has got lucky with the draw and a sit and pounce by the assassin Jim Crowley is on the cards. I love his chances here. 1 pt win at 11/2 PP.

Wolverhampton 4 40 : Coral are out of line with their 6/1 about JOE EILE so a 1 pt win at that chunky price. John Quinn’s ex Irish gelding blew away the cobwebs at Southwell recently on his seasonal and stable debut for the yard. He will have the assistance of brilliant horseman, Robert Winston, in the plate and the application of a first time hood signals stable intent I would say.

Wolverhampton 5 15 : SAGESSE can make up for lost time and this step up in trip is ideal. She is totally unexposed compared to her weather beaten rivals, with the exception of Doldrums but he looks tricky and is first time blinkered. A confident 1 pt win at 7/2 with PP.

Sandown 1 30 : ASTRUM has a great chance off a lenient mark for this shrewd yard. It is only his third start over hurdles but he is improving all the time and I think he rates a bet. 1 pt win at 9/2 with PP.

Sandown 2 05 : HORIZONTAL SPEED boasts a good win record and valuable handicap experience going into this off a 49 day rest. He can make it all work and 8/1 that Bet Victor and others are offering is fair. 1 pt win.

Sandown 3 15 : VIBRATO VALTAT has a chance to silence his many doubters. It will have to be a late late show from Darryl Jacob and I am sure he must be ringing Paul Carberry to get the ultimate and definitive balls of steel instruction ride that this horse needs. Basically Jacob needs to pretend he is Carberry for this race and if he does then I think victory will follow. 1 pt win at 7/2 with Coral.
