BACK FOR YORK. WELL DONE FITZY AND JIMMY BARRY MURPHY.
Good day all and glad to be back for York. I have a punishing schedule these times and do not get to blog as much as I would like but I will try to be on here a bit more often. I note that we are minus 2.5 points for our new season but that is just temporary.
York 3 40. TRADING LEATHER is overpriced at 13/2 with Corals and Bet 365 and we must get involved. It is possible he might get an uncontested lead and if that is the case our chances will increase. He will love the fast going and the galloping nature of this track. He has the best draw and if Manning can settle him then with the weight for age allowance they might find it very hard to peg him back. His older compatriot Declaration Of War just might nab second and set off a potential windfall of a forecast but I will leave that alone. I think the Irish have this one between them. Toranado is too muscled up for my liking and Al Kazeem’s run of success just might be at an end, smart as he is and this column talked him up before anyone !!
1 pt win at 13/2 with the above layers.
Our hurling Championship is hotting up and Ballygunner were impressive against Dungarvan. Fourmilewater had a good honest win against Ring and that qualified us but there are many injuries on board for our final game versus Ballyduff this weekend.
I must say well done to my old pal Davy Fitz !! In fairness to him and Jimmy Barry Murphy they have defied the critics and have steered their charges to the Final having taken up their respective posts just two years ago. Jimmy Barry Murphy in particular has worked wonders with Cork considering how low an ebb they were at when he took them on. His record is first class. Fitzy inherited a serious set up and all is set fair for the big day. We will be there too for the Minor Final and our future is bright.
