CHELTENHAM UPDATE. ATTAGLANCE.
I have to admit I was dumbfounded when Paddy Power introduced ATTAGLANCE into their betting today at just 10/1 from a supposed opening show of 14/1 for the PLI Chase at Cheltenham. Nick and I are napping this horse for Cheltenham and I guess it was his write up in the Irish Field that has caused the bookmakers to run for cover. I am sick because I thought the horse was coming in under the radar and had hoped for 20/1. Keep a close eye on the rest of the firms when they open their prices up on this race as he might be bigger there.
ATTAGLANCE was part of a remarkable double double for his veteran and clever trainer Malcolm Jefferson at both festivals last year . I do not think it was ever done before. The wily North Yorkshire handler produced Attaglance and Cape Tribulation to win at Cheltenham and Aintree last season.
ATTAGLANCE has been laid out for the PLI Novices Handicap Chase on the opening day at 5.15. He will take some beating.
For now ,a one point win at a miserly 10/1 with PP.
